Types of Boat Coverages
Liability
Required for all boats that are on the water. Covers the other boat/people if you are the one at fault.
Comprehensive
Similar to auto insurance, this is for things that are not at fault such as vandalism, the boat is stolen, etc.
Collision
Covers damage to your boat if you hit another boat or property and there is damage that needs to be repaired.
Other Coverages
Roadside Assistance - this can be added to your policy if you are wanting a coverage that can help cover a tow while you are out on the water.
Uninsured/Underinsured boater - Covers your boat if the person that hit you does not have enough insurance/does not have insurance.
